Meet our Musicians:
After her stellar performance as the star of ‘’Carmen” with Toronto City Opera last June, mezzo-soprano Hillary Tufford joins pianist Connor O’Kane on a concert tour of transformative art song. With a program that ranges from Sibelius and Wagner to the likes of Gordon Lightfoot, this duo will leave you spellbound with the magic of the winter season.
Hillary Tufford is a versatile and engaging performer who has received praise from Opera Canada for her “rich, velvety tone.” A District Winner at the Metropolitan Opera competition, she has performed roles with Vancouver Opera, Brott Opera, Highlands Opera, and most recently in the title role of Carmen with Toronto City Opera. Hillary is joined by Connor O’Kane, acclaimed pianist and second prize winner of the prestigious CMC Stepping Stone. Equally at home as a conductor, Connor conducted the opening night performance of Toronto City Opera’s Carmen and currently works as Opera Music Director at the Glenn Gould School in Toronto.
