Samuel Ronto was born in Szerencs, Hungary, the youngest of five children born into a famous musical dynasty on both his mother’s and father’s sides. His father, Samuel Ronto Sr., was a well-respected and admired violinist in the country. Samuel began learning violin at the age of 8, initially from his father and later as a student at Music School where he was able to master the artistry of his beloved instrument from teacher Peter Gergely. From there he progressed to the Music Conservatorium in Miskolc, Hungary. At the age of 16, he entered the OSZK Studio where he was taught by Istvan Egerland and Antal Raduly, concertmaster of the Hungarian National Orchestra. He graduated with a Violin Master Diploma at the age of 18 and began playing in prestigious places throughout the area as a first violinist before advancing to the Hungarian National Orchestra as Assistant Principal at the age of 20. By the age of 24 he began playing as a Band Leader throughout Europe in countries such as Germany, Austria, Greece, Cyprus and the Netherlands. In between live performances, countless TV recordings were filmed and broadcast abroad as well as considerable time spent teaching young students.
