LAUNCH OF WINDRUSH 2024 PINOT GRIGIO
With Timotej Kosovinc, Slovenian guitarist & composer
You are invited to the Official Launch of our new 2024 Windrush VQA Pinot Grigio!
Sporting a distinguishable white cap, it has won the VQA appellation for excellence. Legendary Vintner Jim Warren has commented: “The 2024 Windrush Pinot Grigio is a lovely wine. The colour is the slightest pink, delicate and ‘pretty’. The immediate bouquet is of peaches, very inviting… The taste is slightly off dry and soft but the acidity hangs in through to the citrus (grapefruit) finish. The flavour is nicely persistent!”
What better pairing for our wines than music! Enjoy Slovenian Timotej Kosovinc as Europe’s celebrated guitar soloist! He is in Canada to perform, the following day, at the protocol event for the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, visiting Canada for the first time in history.
A memorable afternoon of fine wines and music!
Your $45 reservation includes the concert and a reception with Windrush’s international award-winning VQA wines, treats and the artists. Guests under 19 or over 90 are free. Proceeds help empower underserved kids at youthLEADarts.com

SUN. OCTOBER 5th – 3pm
FUNDRAISER for PURE HEART GLOBAL MISSION – One voice. Thousands of hearts.
By Dmytro Garbovskyi, Ukrainian Baritone
Dmytro Garbovskyi, former opera star at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, returns to Chateau Windrush! He is organizing this special concert as a charity event in support of orphaned children.
Beyond a solo performance, this is something even more ambitious and exciting: a concert version of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s opera Francesca da Rimini. He and several of his friends, all of whom are incredibly gifted vocalists, will perform for free in support of this cause.
It promises to be something truly extraordinary — because the music of this opera is unimaginably beautiful, powerful, and moving. It’s rarely performed and bringing it to life in a concert setting will be an unforgettable experience for the audience. The most important thing is that, together, we can help improve the lives for kids without parents in Ukraine and the world over.
“I know what it’s like to be a child that no one wanted. People laughed at my dream of singing. I was humiliated for daring to dream big. But even a broken heart can become a voice of love. Pure Heart Global Mission by Dmytro Garbovskyi is my way of reaching the children who are waiting for warmth, care, and a simple human “I’m here” – Dmytro Garbovskyi, Founder & President
Francesca da Rimini is not just an opera. It’s an experience that stays with you forever… and a perfect way for you to help change lives of kids forever. Francesca da Rimini is the music of passion, suspended between heaven and the abyss. Where every word feels like a final breath. Where music strikes like a sentence. Where love, duty, and fate are woven into an unbreakable knot. There are no easy answers here. Only the voice of a heart — too loud to be silenced… and too dangerous to be heard.
Cast:
• Lanciotto – Dmytro Garbovskyi
• Francesca – Anastasia Khomenko
• Paolo, Dante – Joseph Adams
• The Shadow of Virgil – Yurii Yevchuk
